Technologic Feat. Electro Jeans began as a 2010 submission for the YMA Fashion Scholarship Fund. After becoming one of the finalist, I decided to bring the idea to life. The collect centered around the idea of interactive fashion. Incorporating electroluminescent lighting into handmade garments. Lighting in the garments changed colors or beat to surrounding music. The Electro Jean concept was later submitted to the VF Corp. Future of Fashion Award, becoming one of two North American finalist. Cumulatively, the Electro Jean concept has received +$10,000 in scholarships and grants. While a niche market, proof of concept of these garments can now be found in EDM culture and festival gear.
